This past week we had an opportunity to install beautiful knotty alder interior doors in a San Jose home. In this case, not only did we replace the interior doors, but also the casing with knotty alder wood. Alder wood is an increasingly popular wood species due to its pronounced grain structure and areas of burl clusters and knots. The pronounced texture adds character to the wood that enhances the aesthetics of the home, providing it with a somewhat rustic feel.
This project took more than two days for us to complete, and below are some pictures. The homeowner will be replacing his flooring after our work is completed, so keep that in mind as you examine these photos.
